Encounters
Why are your encounters priced accordingly?
As a nonprofit organization, we do not receive any federal or state funding to maintain our facilities. All money earned goes right back into our park to continue providing excellent welfare for our animals. Our encounter pricing is based off the supplies, staff experience and time, along with staying competitive. Encounter pricing does not include admission pricing.
Why is admission to the park not included in the encounter price?
Since our encounters are priced for groups up to 4, this means that group size may vary between each family and booking. Booking per person in our software is currently not an option. We do not want to include the admission in the price and charge a guest for admission for 4 people, if only 2 participate in the encounter.
Are encounter prices per person, or per group?
Encounter pricing is set for up to a group of four people, unless otherwise noted. Please read the description of the encounter you are looking to book to verify the slot number. Encounter size limits are set to ensure our animals have a positive experience rather than an overwhelming one. These size limits are standard and generally cannot be changed. Adding additional participants to encounters may be considered for an extra fee, but are not guaranteed. Please reach out via email to inquire.
Do you offer any discounts of encounters?
We do not currently offer any discounts for encounters. Periodically, Action Wildlife may offer specials or discounts on encounters via our social media.
There are no slots for the day I am looking at, are they full?
Our encounters are a fun experience that many guests enjoy, some of these encounters are booked weeks in advance. If there is no availability listed on Square, we are full. If available, some encounters may be considered for same day booking. Encounters must be booked 24 hours in advance.
What happens if I am late to my encounter?
We ask that guests arrive earlier than their scheduled encounter time. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your encounter, we reserve the right to cancel.
Are encounters canceled in the event of rain?
We are a rain or shine park. Encounters will not be rescheduled or refunded if you choose not to attend due to weather. Encounters will only be moved or cancelled if the entire park closes due to severe weather. Please dress accordingly for the weather.
Can I reschedule an encounter?
Encounters are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Extreme circumstances with communications 36-24 hours of the encounter may be considered for rescheduling. Encounters will not be rescheduled due to weather unless otherwise noted.
Are encounters a good experience for young children?
Encounters are a great way for children to connect and meet animals that they may have never seen before. Encounters can be a great educational option. A parent/guardian must be present during the encounter at all times to monitor their child. Children and parents must adhere to instructions given by Action Wildlife Staff during encounters.
