This winter, we’re turning up the wild warmth inside the museum! The entire back room will transform into an immersive VIP Animal Encounter Experience — featuring our favorites: capybaras, Highland calves, and the snuggliest goats around… plus some surprise guests you’ll have to see to believe 👀

To allow everyone a chance to book an encounter upon release, we currently limit each transaction to one encounter. If you are receiving an error message, please ensure you have only ONE encounter in your cart.

I'm obsessed with Capybaras. Can I squeeze an encounter in?
Don't worry - we're obsessed too! The comfort and safety of our animals come first; we can host only a limited number of Capybara encounters per day. We open them as often as we can. If your ideal time is not available, check back frequently to see what opens up!
When will you start booking encounters for next year?
We will start booking 2026 encounters when we open for the 2026 season!
Can I see the Capybaras during a regular visit to the park?
YES! You can see Doug and Millie chilling in their enclosure during park hours - and they would love to see you!
Is admission included in my encounter pricing?
No, you must also purchase general admission tickets to enter the park in addition to your encounter.
Where do I go for my encounter?
Calf and goat encounters take place in the Petting Zoo area. Capybara encounters take place at the Capybara enclosure. If you're having trouble locating the encounter, our staff are happy to help, ask!
My child is X years old. Can they experience the animal encounters?
Of course! Children are welcome at encounters, but an adult must accompany anyone under 18.
Do I need to book a separate encounter for everyone in my party?
The cost for Capybara, goat, and calf encounters as listed is PER GROUP, not per person! The maximum number of people per group is 4.
For winter encounters, each guest must have their own ticket!
Can I reschedule my encounter?
Due to the popularity of the encounters, we are often sold out or have limited availability and are unable to reschedule.
All encounters are rain or shine. If severe weather closes the park, we will contact you and help you find a new time slot. They are non-transferable. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your encounter, Action Wildlife reserves the right to cancel. Any no-shows will be considered a tax-deductible donation to Action Wildlife.
